OMEGA league open qualifications (“Tournament”) is an event conducted and managed by WePlay! Esports and Epic Esports Events (hereinafter - Organizers). These Official Rules & Regulations (“Rules”) govern participation in the Tournament. By applying for participation in the Tournament and/or participating in the Tournament, all applicants, teams and players acknowledge that they have read and understood these Rules and unconditionally accept and agree to abide by these Rules.

Important! In order to be able to take part in the tournament, every team must have at least two representatives of the region's countries. If you did not find your country in the lists, we will help you choose the right region for registration; you just need to contact us at email@example.com.
Important! If your team has already received a slot in the next stages of the competition, you may not participate in the current qualifiers.
Important for collegiate players! There should be at least two players from the same college, and the name of the college from which the two or more players are should be in the team name.
A player must provide a current and valid student ID or statement of enrolment issued by their tertiary institution in order to compete in this competition. Student ID’s and statement of enrolments will be verified prior to the competition start date. A statement of enrolment may be obtained from the university for FREE or a FEE, this is dependent on each institution. Please seek your institution's assistance prior to contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Important! The main communication channel for organizing matches is WePlay! Esports Discord where participants must be present during the tournament in order to avoid technical defeat in case of technical system failures. Also, you need to add the name of your team to the nickname so that we can easily find you and contact in case of problems or questions.

1. General Conditions
1.1. OMEGA league open qualifications (hereinafter – Tournament) are governed by the following set of rules and regulations which apply to all participants in order to provide a fair and pleasant experience for all our users.
1.2. For violation of any of the clauses of the rules, the Referee reserves the right to issue a warning (verbal or written), a technical defeat, or a ban (the time is set by the Referee) based on the severity of the violation.
1.3. Repeated warnings may lead to a technical defeat of the team or the ban of the team/player for a certain period of time.
1.4. Google Chrome is the recommended browser to participate in the tournaments.
2. Tournament Format
2.1. Participants compete in a Single Elimination bracket - a single loss results in elimination from the tournament.
2.2. Teams are allowed to compete in a tournament with the same roster they have at the time of registering for the tournament.
2.3. Game Mode — 5v5 Captains Mode
2.4. Tournament draw is done randomly by the system.
Americas 1st Stage (Root Leagues) Participants compete in a Best of 1 Single Elimination bracket. Top 4 teams of each qualifier advance to Subregional Playoffs 2nd Stage (Subregional Playoffs) Participants compete in a Best of 3 Single Elimination bracket. First place team advance to Divine Division. Second to fourth place teams advance to Subregional Finals. 3rd Stage (Subregional Finals) Participants compete in a Best of 3 Double Elimination bracket. Top 4 teams advance to Ancient Division.
Europe 1st Stage (Root Leagues) Participants compete in a Best of 1 Single Elimination bracket. Top 4 teams of each qualifier advance to Subregional Playoffs 2nd Stage (Subregional Playoffs) Participants compete in a Best of 3 Single Elimination bracket. Top 4 teams of each qualifier advance to Subregional Finals. 3rd Stage (Subregional Finals) Participants compete in a Best of 3 Double Elimination bracket. Top 4 teams of each qualifier advance to Closed Qualifiers.
SEA 1st Stage (Root Leagues) Participants compete in a Best of 1 Single Elimination bracket. Top 4 teams of each qualifier advance to Subregional Playoffs 2nd Stage (Subregional Playoffs) Participants compete in a Best of 3 Single Elimination bracket. First and second place teams advance to Divin
3. Game Rules
3.1. The main communication channel for organizing matches is WePlay! Esports Discord where participants must be present during the tournament in order to avoid technical defeat in case of technical system failures.
3.2. To make changes to the roster, it is necessary to unregister from the tournament, change players and register back. You can leave the tournament only once, otherwise it will be impossible to go back. If you change the roster after registration, it will not change for the tournaments you have already registered.
3.3. You will receive an automatic invitation to the match lobby at the start of the tournament. If a player does not sit in a player slot in the lobby in 10 minutes, the team receives a technical defeat. Teams are responsible for internet connection problems, client updates, or other technical difficulties that can stop them from showing up in time.
3.4. Every team can pause the game up to 10 minutes. The total number of pauses cannot exceed five per match. A team can keep the game paused for a longer period of time with the consent of the opponent.
3.5. Before resuming, the team who paused the game must make sure the other team is ready. The game can resume as soon as the opponent announces readiness.
3.6. The winner of the match is the team that destroys the opponent’s throne.
3.7. If your game has exceeded the 60 minute mark, you need to pause and inform a Dota2 Admin on WePlay! Esports Discord server that your game is delayed. Otherwise, you may receive a technical defeat.
3.8. A team that refuses to play a game again requested by the chief Judge receives a technical defeat and loses any prizes won in the tournament.
4.1. Pausing the game during draft.
4.2. Unpausing your opponent's pause during the first 10 minutes, unpausing your own pause without notifying your opponent and their approval, and not pausing the game when all the opposing team’s players have been disconnected from the game are all prohibited. If any of these actions happen, the Referee can penalize the team in violation of the rule with a technical defeat. To file a complaint, you need to provide the Referee with screenshots proving your opponent has violated this rule.
4.3. Continuing the game when more than one player of a team are disconnected. In this situation the team receives a technical defeat.
4.4 It is forbidden to swear, humiliate, provoke, abuse and deceive participants as well as judges during a tournament by any means. For such violations, the player/team may receive a warning or technical defeat and lose any prizes won. To report such behaviors, you must provide screenshots.
4.5. Unsportsmanlike behavior is prohibited. Examples of such acts include but is not limited to sabotaging a match, manipulation of rules, exploitation of bugs, and verbal abuse. Punishments range from a warning to total disqualification from the tournament.
4.6. A player/team name cannot include propaganda, racism, or any form of hatred towards representatives of a certain nationality.
4.7. A player/team avatar cannot contain violent images, pornographic material, propaganda, racism, or any form of hatred towards representatives of a certain nationality.
4.8. A player/team name cannot include a domain (for example: www.google.com or google.com). Such players/teams will not be allowed to participate in WePlay! tournaments.
4.9. Every user can only have one account on WePlay! tournament platform. Duplicate account owners will be penalized.
5.1. All claims of violation of the rules are accepted for consideration within 10 minutes after the game. If there are no claims after the specified time, the result of the match can no longer be changed. It is highly recommended to keep screenshots of all complaints, violations, misbehaviours, and match results until the end of the tournament.
5.2. Technical defeats are issued only after a Judge approves.
5.3. All the above mentioned rules are situational and can be interpreted differently by the Judges for each game in order to make the best decision.
5.4. Any situation not covered in the rules will be handled by the tournament administration.
5.5. Any participant in a disputed or conflicting situation is responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted.
5.6. Decisions of the Judges in any situation including those not described in these rules are final and not negotiable.
6.1. Participants must be able to provide documents proving their eligibility. For avoiding of misunderstandings, the Participants (legal entities/organizations/teams) established in the following territories: Afghanistan, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Somali, Sudan, Darfur, South Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Nicaragua, Mali are not eligible to participate in Tournament or receive any other benefits related to their participation in the Tournament. if the Participants (legal entities/organizations/teams) from the above-mentioned territories will participate in Tournament for whatever reason, they automatically loose the right to receive any other benefits related to their participation in the Tournament. However, Participants (natural persons), which are citizens and|or residents of the above-mentioned territories are free to compete in Tournament provided that:
1) They don’t fell within the category of persons, affected by the sanctions measures and prohibitions, determined in the following USA legal-and-regulatory acts and its related documentation:
- Executive Order 13405 of June 16, 2006;
2) They are not specified in OFAC’s sanctions Complete Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN LIST).
3) They don’t fell within the category of persons, who ever made violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and all related applicable USA anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, which are fixed and documented in appropriate manner;
4) They are not specified in Consolidated list of persons, groups and entities subject to EU financial sanctions;
5) They are not persons to whom restrictive measures are applicable according to EU Sanctions Map;
6) They are not specified in United Nations Security Council Consolidated List;
7) They are not specified in List of persons related to commitment of terrorist activity or persons to whom international sanction were applied;
8) They are not specified in CONSOLIDATED LIST OF FINANCIAL SANCTIONS TARGETS IN THE UK.
9) They don’t fell within the category of persons, affected by any other existing sanctions measures and prohibitions, which are not determined in these Rules.
6.2. To participate in the tournament, a team must have at least 2 players from the countries assigned to the relevant region. In any case these players must be in compliance with requirements, determined in p.6.1. above.
6.3 The tournament administration has the right to change and modify the rules at any time at its discretion.

If a team has already won a slot in the next stage of competition, participation in subsequent qualifying tournaments of the current stage is prohibited.
