2.1. Teams face each other in a Single Elimination format.

3. Game Rules
3.1. At the start of the tournament you will receive an automatic invitation to the match lobby. If a player does not enter the lobby in 5 minutes (problems with the Internet, client updates, or other technical issues are not acceptable and players are responsible to ready up for every match in time), the player receives a technical defeat.
3.3. All players are required to record a POV demo (write in console "record record_name"). Not recording a demo can result in losing your prize and/or a technical defeat.
3.4. Any changes in the squad will result in your team’s being removed from the tournament. After this happens, the captain can join the tournament again with the new squad.
3.5 If you haven’t provided a POV demo file more than 3 times, you’ll get a ban. Please keep the demo file for at least three days after the match. If a player is suspected of using bugs or cheats, our admin can disqualify a player from the tournament and request a POV demo file.
3.6. The match begins after all the players confirm their readiness (having typed the command !ready in the chat).
If the opponent leaves the server, you need to wait 3 minutes. In order to show how long you have been waiting in the server, use thetime command in the console at the time of your opponent’s exit and again after 3 minutes (if your opponent does not return to the server in 3 minutes) before taking the screenshot. You then need to post the screenshot to the WePlay Esports Discord server alongside a link to the match lobby.
A match can be continued if one or more player(s) disconnect from the server for whatever reason, but all members of both teams need to be present in the server to begin a game.
3.7. Each player is allowed to pause the game (must type !Pause in chat) no more than two times and every time up to three minutes. After a player’s pause limit ends, the match continues regardless of whether the problem is fixed.
3.7.1 Every player has a technical timeout which lasts for 3 minutes and starts automatically when a player leaves the server. If the player doesn’t reconnect to the server by the time the timeout ends, he will lose the match.
3.8. In case a player leaves the game (rage quit or internet disconnection), the other player must pause the game (type !Pause). If the opponent does not return in three minutes, a technical defeat is given to the player that has left;
3.9. Recording POV demos can only be requested by a judge in exceptional circumstances.
4. Bugs, Restrictions, Unfair Play, and Penalties
4.1. Players may receive technical defeats for using bugs. There must be solid evidence indicating a player’s exploitation of a bug in order for them to be penalized. Verbal accusations are not good enough.
4.1.1. It’s prohibited to waste time by playing two or more tournaments at the same time, including on other websites. If our admin has a significant proof of time-wasting, a player will be disqualified from all the ongoing tournaments except the one that started earlier than others. Exceptions are applied to Premium tournaments and the ones that were delayed due to technical reasons.
4.1.2. If a player wastes time due to a tournament on another website, this player will be disqualified from the tournament on weplay.tv. Such complaints can be reported only by players from https://weplay.tv.

In some cases, you need to provide a POV demo at the request of the judge as well.
4.10. Delaying the start of a match is strictly prohibited. If a player/team deliberately delays the start of a match (prolonged smoke, toilet, food breaks, etc), they might receive a technical defeat.
4.11. Should a player/team leave a match while it is being played, the judge can consider that act withdrawal from competition which results in a technical defeat.
4.12. In case a match at any round of a tournament ends and we come to the conclusion that for some reasons there has been a technical problem from our side (game server, web service, website, etc.) with that match, the chief judge can ask both parties to replay the match. Should one of the parties refuse to play again, they would face a technical defeat as well as losing any prizes they have won at the end of that tournament.
4.13. Unsportsmanlike behavior is prohibited. Examples of such act include sabotaging a match, verbal abuse, and any behavior that can fit in this category. Punishment for this ranges from warning to total disqualification from a tournament.
